A sculptural object housing a video projection, Ov was originally the centre of an immersive environment with a four channel sound system. Entering a darkened room, viewers bent or crouched to peer at the round glass ball on a small pedestal. Seen in the video inside the sphere, it appeared as if there had been an underwater explosion—hands and bodies turned and fell, culminating in the image of one body continually swirling. Influenced by Bill Viola, this was one of the first times Gladyszewski integrated video, movement, and sculpture together—now a hallmark of his work.
